Author Guidelines

Before preparing and submitting a manuscript, authors should note that they are strongly discouraged from withdrawing manuscripts that have already been submitted and are undergoing the publication process (review, manuscript editing, layout preparation, etc.). During this process, GreenMatter Journal invests valuable resources and considerable time. Therefore, authors are requested to carefully prepare their manuscripts prior to submission by following this guideline and using the provided article template. Manuscripts may be written in English.

Format

Article files must be prepared in Microsoft Word format using the provided journal template.

Article Length

Manuscripts must be written on A4 paper size with a minimum length of 10 pages, including references, and a maximum of 16 pages, including tables and figures, following the formatting guidelines provided in the template.

Article Title

The title must be written using Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, left-aligned, with each word starting with a capital letter.

Author Details and Authorship

All contributing authors must be listed along with their affiliations. The format and placement must follow the journal template provided. Author names must be written clearly without academic titles. The corresponding author's email may be marked with an asterisk (*) after the email address. The names of Study Programs/Departments/Faculties/Institutions do not need to be translated into English.

Abstract

The abstract must contain 150–200 words and briefly describe what was done, how it was done, the main results, and their significance. The abstract must be clear, descriptive, and provide a concise overview of the research problem.

The abstract should include:

the reason for choosing the research topic or its importance,
the research methodology, and
a summary of the results.

The abstract must conclude with a statement on the significance of the results or a brief conclusion. Authors should carefully consider the use of capitalization, italics, and foreign terms. Since the abstract will appear in abstracting journals and databases, it must contain the most critical information of the paper.

Keywords

Authors must provide concise and relevant keywords summarizing the main topic of the paper. The number of keywords is limited to a maximum of five (5), listed in alphabetical order and separated by commas.

Article Organization

The article must be organized at least according to the IMRaD structure, as follows:

1. Introduction

This section provides guidelines for manuscript preparation. Authors are fully responsible for the content of their manuscripts, which must not have been previously published [1]. References must be numbered sequentially, such as [1], [2], [3], [4].

The manuscript structure includes:

Introduction
Research Methods
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgements (if any)
References

This structure is standard and should not be modified, except for the addition of subsections.

The introduction should address the following points [2]:

Background of the study
Brief literature review of related research
The rationale for conducting the study
Research objectives or questions

The state of the art, gap analysis, and novelty should be clearly presented in this section. Avoid extensive general literature reviews or broad definitions.

2. Research Methods

Explain the methods and techniques used in the research. The description should be concise yet precise, including relevant details such as measurements, volumes, replications, and procedures.

For new methods, provide sufficient detail to enable replication by other researchers. Established methods may be described briefly with appropriate citations [4][5][6]. Avoid explaining general scientific concepts, literature reviews, or common definitions.

2.1 Manuscript Length

Manuscripts must be written on A4 paper with a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 16 pages, including tables and figures, following the formatting instructions provided in this guideline.

Equations must be written clearly using the equation editor and numbered sequentially, for example:

∆F = A × B × C⁵ (1)

where F represents the fundamental resonance frequency (MHz), ΔM is the total mass of absorbed gas molecules [1], and A is the electrode area (cm²) [7].

Each variable in the equation must be explained in sentence form, as illustrated above. Avoid explaining equations in itemized lists. Program listings are not permitted; instead, present them in pseudocode, algorithms, or flowcharts.

2.2 Manuscript Organization

The title must be clear, concise, and informative, representing the content of the article. The maximum length is 12 words, written in 14 pt bold font, with only the first letter of each word capitalized. Ideally, the title should include the Result, Problem, and Method.

Author names and affiliations should follow the format described earlier. Author names must be written clearly without academic titles. The corresponding author's email may be marked with an asterisk (*). The names of Study Programs/Departments/Faculties/Institutions do not need to be translated into English.

2.3 Tables

Tables must be numbered sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.). Table titles must be placed above the table, centered, without bold or colored formatting. The font size for both the table title and content is 12 pt. Tables must be cited in the manuscript and use single spacing. Vertical lines are not permitted in tables.

2.4 Figures

Figures must be numbered sequentially (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.). Figure captions must be placed below the figure, centered, using 12 pt font. Figures must be clearly readable and referenced within the manuscript.

2.5 References

Authors are required to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or other similar tools. All references listed must be cited within the manuscript. A minimum of 15 recent primary references (published within the last five years) from journals, proceedings, or books is required.

References must be written using 12 pt font and follow the IEEE citation format, with each reference including a DOI link (reference linking). References from websites are not permitted.

3. Results and Discussion

This section presents the results of the study in a logical sequence to build a coherent narrative. The content should present facts and data, which may include tables and figures. Avoid repeating the same data in figures, tables, and text.

The discussion should explain the interpretation, relationships, and generalizations derived from the results. It should address the research questions and present any uncertain results objectively.

3.1 Specifications

The entire manuscript must use Times New Roman font, 12 pt size. Line spacing is single, and the text should be justified, except for tables, figures, and references. Subsections should not contain only a single paragraph.

The page size is A4 (210 mm × 297 mm) with margins of 2 cm on all sides.

3.2 Manuscript Layout

The easiest way to create the manuscript layout is by using this guideline directly. Avoid excessive numbering (e.g., 1, 2, a, etc.) in the manuscript discussion. Use the standard structure:

Introduction
Research Methods
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgements (if any)
References

Avoid using bulleted lists or symbols such as *, √, etc.. Also avoid leaving blank spaces on pages.

4. Conclusion

The conclusion must not contain references. It should present the key findings that directly answer the research objectives or problems. The conclusion should not repeat the discussion but summarize the results concisely.

Possible applications, implications, and reasonable speculation may be included. Suggestions for future research may also be provided. Conclusions must be written in paragraph form, not as numbered lists or bullet points.

Acknowledgements (If Any)

Mention the funding sources and institutions that supported the research.

References

Authors are required to use Mendeley or other reference management tools. All references listed must be cited in the manuscript. At least 15 recent primary references (within the last five years) from journals, proceedings, or books are required.

References must follow the IEEE format, use 12 pt font, and include DOI links for each reference. References from websites are not permitted.
